The Flood

If you haven't heard Indiana has had masive amounts of rain this week. Today alone we got better than 2 inches from about 9am to noon. South of us near Bloomington got about 6 inches in the same time frame. And this is on top of the rain earlier this week.

Flash Flood warnings abound. I65 south of Indy is closed.

The rain was coming down so fast the storm sewer at the bottom of our yard was overflowing and the man hole cover in the middle of the street was spewing water thru the holes in the cover.

Our back yard, which is a funnel for the water for the neighbors yards, was a river - you could not see the grass.

Well the rain has stopped for now but more rain is in the forecast.

The plus side is that my garden is doing awsome. The roses are blooming. My tomatos which went in the ground just a couple weeks ago are already flowering. And I have volunteers abound. I need to get them out of the ground before they get too much bigger and take over my roses. Down side is Chris is cutting the grass when ever he can as it is growing fast - but its very nice and green.
